An accountant (1938), he voluntarily enlists in the Italian Royal Air Force and attends the Flight Schools of Pescara and Foggia (1939), where he is promoted to second lieutenant. During WWII he assigned first to the 357th Squadrilla and then to the 359th Fighter Squadrilla. On board a Macchi C.200 he fights on the eastern front (August 1941-March 1942), where he contributes to the downing of 15 enemy planes. Repatriated, he is sent to the Mediterranean and African war theatres at the controls of a Reggiane Re.2001. He dies in battle near Bona, in Algeria, on 6 December 1942. Silver Medal of Military Valor in the field.
