Enlisted in the Air Force, he obtains his military pilot’s licence in Caserta and trains on Breda BA.25 and an IMAM Ro.41 aircraft. At the end of the 1930’s, he is assigned to the 50th Assault Wing (159th Squadrilla). In 1940, he is stationed in northern Africa. In January 1941, he is assigned to the 54th Wing (76th Fighter Squadrilla) that fights over the skies of Malta and Tunisia against the British Royal Air Force (RAF). As a captain, he is assigned to lead the 310th Squadrilla (Macchi C.205). After the armistice, he joins the Italian Social Republic and takes the lead of the 1st Squadrilla (1st Fighter Group) equipped with Italian and German planes (Messerschmitt Bf.109). He is executed by the partisans in Milan on 29 April 1945.
