After obtaining a diploma in accounting, he attends the Air Force Academies of Caserta and Turin and obtains the rank of second lieutenant. As commander of a fighter and acrobatic Squadrilla, in 1938 he is promoted to captain. In June 1940, he fights on the western front at the head of the 365th Fighter Squadrilla. In the skies over Turin, with his Fiat CR.42 he pounces on a British bomber, which then crashes into the English Channel. His feat is exalted in La Domenica del Corriere, in Illustrazione del popolo and in the Corriere dei piccoli. He dies on 28 November 1940 on the Greco-Albanian front. One Silver Medal of Military Valor and one commemorative Gold Medal of Military Valor.
