World War II: Fighters

An accountant, he attends the Air Force Academy of Caserta and graduates first out of 200 cadets. In May 1940, he is nominated second lieutenant and assigned to the 350th Fighter Squadrilla, then transfers to the 355th Squadrilla with which he fights on the Greco-Albanian front (November 1940-April 1941). Severely wounded in the air battles above Pantelleria, he dies in the military hospital of Cagliari on 23 June 1942.
