World War II: Bombers

With a diploma as technical expert, he obtains his civil pilot’s licence (1934) and then that as military pilot (1936). Assigned to the 3rd Fighter Wing, he trains in Austria on board Stukas (January 1941). Back in Italy, he takes part in the war operations in northern Africa as a pilot with the 237th Bombing Squadrilla (1 February-23 June 1941). He dies on 29 June 1941 in an airplane accident in Lonate Pozzolo. Two Silver Medals of Military Valor, one German Iron Cross.
