The Italo-Ethiopian War (1935-1936)

Son of Enrico, formerly a political prisoner at Katzenau, he joins the Fascist party in 1930. In May 1935 he enlists as a volunteer in the Italo-Ethiopian war and fights as a pilot lieutenant and crew head of the 1st Fighter Wing and then of the 7th Bombing Wing. Enrolled in the Trentino Legion, by the end of the 1930’s he is a member of the Fasces Directory of Trento and of the local executive board of the Royal National Aviation Union (RUNA). Recalled to serve, he fights with the rank of captain until he is discharged for family reasons. One War Cross of Military Valor.
