The Spanish Civil War (1936-1939)

He takes part in the Spanish war with the 16th Bombing squadrilla from 3 July to 3 December 1937. During WWII, he embarks on the battlecruisers ‘Gorizia’ and ‘Duca d’Aosta’, participating in operations on the Mediterranean chessboard (10 June 1940-29 June 1942; 20 August 1942-8 September 1943). After the armistice, he is cut off from his unit in Italy and returns to Trentino (September 1943-May 1945). Bronze Medal of Military Valor.
