The Libya wars (1911-1931)

An artillery officer of Trentino origin, he participates in WWI in the 46th, 49th and 32nd Observation Squadrillas. In 1917 he is assigned to the 25nd Seaplane Squadrilla and then to the Aviation Services Office of the Italian High Command. Subsequently he is assigned to the Artillery Command of the 4th Army (1918). A Fiume legionnaire (1919-1920), he participates in reconquering Libya. A topographer and a cartographer, he presents his work at the 36th Congress of the Italian Geological Society (1923), supported by the Trentino researchers Giovanbattista Trener and Livio Fiorio. He is discharged in the 1930’s. Three Silver and Two Bronze Medals of Military Valor.
