A flight engineer, in WWII he fights in northern Africa (10 June-28 July 1940) as an observer pilot in the 136th Reconnaissance Squadrilla. He dies in combat on 28 July 1940, crashing near Sidi Rezegh. Commemorative Silver Medal of Military Valor.
