Caproni Test Pilots

An aviation pioneer, he works with Gianni Caproni, as instructor and test pilot, in the production of avant-garde aircraft first at Malpensa and then at Vizzola Ticino. In the years from 1914 to 1918 he contributes to designing and developing the Caproni-Pensuti triplane, an aircraft destined for reconnaissance, training and the close air support of ground troops. When Italy joins WWI, he takes part in various war actions. He crashes with his plane near Somma Lombardo.
