The Spanish Civil War (1936-1939)

He fights in Spain with the 53rd Wing from 9 January to 19 May 1938. A gunsmith and a bomb disposal engineer, he is transferred to the Royal airport of Schjak (Albania) to participate in war actions on the Mediterranean chessboard (10 June-27 October 1940; 24 April 1941-31 January 1942), on the Greek-Albanian front (28 October 1940-23 April 1941) and in the Balkans (18 November 1942-8 September 1943). After the armistice, he leaves Albania and returns to Italy in June 1945. One War Cross of Military Valor.
